Welcome To Patterson River Veterinary Centre

Patterson River Veterinary Centre strives to give your pet the very best health care possible.  Our staff are all dedicated pet lovers and we pride ourselves in our personal care of both clients and patients alike.

Practice owners Greg and Kerrie Rodgers have been caring for pets in the Carrum and Patterson Lakes area since 1991.

We feel continuity of care by the one Vet is important and where practical we aim to do this. This provides you with a more personal type of service, something that you do not always receive elsewhere.

We are able to offer you both a preventative health care program for your pet and a treatment program when the need arises. Vaccinations, desexing, microchipping, parasite control, dedicated hydrobath room, puppy classes, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, orthopaedic surgery, radiology, ultrasound, pathology and premium pet foods are some of the services we have available on site.

Our Vets enjoy all fields of small animal medicine and surgery. We routinely perform many types of surgery on site. If your pet is unwell and requires testing, treatment or surgery we will always discuss options with you. We will also inform you of the costs involved and if this changes during the course of treatment then you will be made aware. We understand that communication is important and will work with you to achieve the level of care that suits you and your pet.

We are members of the AVA (Australian Veterinary Association), ASAVA (Australian Small Animal Veterinary Association and ISFM (International Society of Feline Medicine). We believe continuing education is imperative so that we can give your pet the very best of care.

We proudly support a number of animal welfare organisations including Pawfect Pals Animal Rescue, Dogs 4 Jobs, Oscars Law,  and Vets against Live Export.

Did you know that the most important time for social development is the first four months of your pups life? Socialisation is often not easy to do safely when your pup is not fully covered with vaccinations.  Our classes are a fabulous way to safely socialise your new puppy.

Our classes are generally held weekly and they run for one hour over four weeks. Our fee is $150.

Just for Cats. We are proud to be able to offer our feline patients a "Cat only" area in our waiting room.

We are proud to support three very worthy working dog rescue groups by offering generous discounts on all services. If you are planning on getting a new pet please consider a rescue pet and save a life.
